We run a variety of ensembles, that cater for students from K-6, including strings, recorder group, percussion and a flute choir.
The choir is open to students from Years 3 to 6. This year the senior choir are heading to the Cantabile at the Opera House.
The school bands are open to all students from Years 3 to 6. The bands perform regularly throughout the year at school assemblies, school concerts and external music festivals and competitions.
Yamma (Hello).
This group works with the school community to consult with, and give voice to, Indigenous families. We help to bridge the gap in relation to Indigenous education and provide support to Indigenous families, as well as celebrating events in the Indigenous calendar.
There are a number of extracurricular language programs at the school including Mandarin, Spanish and French.
The learning support group meets semi-regularly and is open to all parents/carers. We work with the school to share ideas in the areas of support, learning and well being. The group is open, informal and non-judgemental and no diagnosis is necessary for you to be part of the group.
The sustainability group aims to make Forest Lodge a sustainable school. The group wants students to become sustainable citizens and to help the school create generations of sustainable minded, environmentally conscious people.
The group brings together the school community to deliver a clear message: sustainability should be at the heart of everything we do.
The Flodge Flyers train each Friday morning at Jubilee park from 6.30 to 7:45am. This running club is for all ages and abilities and everyone is welcome.
The infrastructure group help the school with support and advice on building, playground and planting. They were instrumental in the recent toilet block refurbishments and the future playground renovations.
The playground committee has been steadily greening the grounds of the school with the aim of creating a greener and more pleasant environment for all and to engage with students about creating green spaces. Working bees are held throughout the year and the group are always on the lookout for people to join their team.
We run a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds for much needed resources at the school.

Home schooling and air quality have been addressed by the P&C
Keeping our kids safe as they enter and leave the school with such busy roads is a perennial issue and one that the P&C has made many submissions about over the years.
